Taranaki Radio Control Car Club has been racing at the Paritutu Race Track on Centennial Drive in New Plymouth for 34 years. After all this time they have been asked to leave, as the property now has too much commercial value. The New Plymouth District council has been gracious enough to agree to lease the club a beautifully scenic piece of land in Fitzroy overlooking Lake Rotomanu and the spectacular walk bridge. With the new facility, designed similar to the one pictured below, the club will have a world class complex offering affordable racing to all ages and skill levels. This is a great sport, giving young people a focus and instilling qualities like attention to detail and pride. All levels of racing are available from club days to world events! The club boasts multiple NZ and Australian champions. We would appreciate it if you would consider donating towards this project. All funds raised will go towards the redevelopment of our R/C facility.

The Taranaki Radio Control Car Club Inc. has been in existence since 1978, and consisits of a friendly and enthusiastic group cover all ages. We have had excellent success representing our club at all national events around the country.
Racedays:
On Road Racing:
1st Sunday each Month, weather permitting. (Rain Date is 2nd or 4th Sunday)
Registrations must be made by 9:00am on the day, racing starts at 11:00am. You dont need to be a member to race.
Entry is $20
Off Road Racing:
3rd Sunday each Month, weather permitting. (Rain Date is 2nd or 4th Sunday)

Classes:
We cater for both Nitro & Electric Classes both On-Road & Off-Road.
Scoring:
We use the latest AMBrc4 Decoder & Transponders and LiveTime RC Software to lap score races.
Rules:
We are affliated to the New Zealand Radio COntrol Car Association (NZRCA) which provides standardisation of class & racing rules for all affliated clubs around New Zealand, as well as sanctioning open race meetings at various times and places throughout the year. All cars that are raced, and the race meetings themselves must comply with these rules which have been written in the interest of fairness to competitors, and for the promotion of the sport.

On Road Track Facilities:
Our permanent outdoor sealed track is situated at the base of Paritutu Rock. Centennial Drive, overlooking New Plymouth Power Station and Port Taranaki. It is just 5 minutes from the centre of New Plymouth.
Off Road Track Facilities & New On Road Track Development:
Our Off Road site is located at Clemow Road on the opposite end of New Plymouth. It is located next to Lake Rotomanu and is just 5 minutes from the centre of New Plymouth.
